Description
The project footprint occupies the entire 2-acre site located along a prominent block within the transformative Ivy City neighborhood of Washington DC. The building features a façade that includes patterned masonry elements and a full-height storefront to provide visual interest along the street, and the project consists of a 160-space underground parking structure that is directly connected to the upper floors. The majority of the first floor is occupied by a Target store with Bank of America occupying the rest of the street-level space and an additional partial upper floor occupied by office tenants. Bignell Watkins Hasser Architects was the project designer and Architect of Record for the base building and for the Target interiors and led approval efforts including the City’s BZA and rapid permit process. The project is LEED-certified and features numerous sustainable elements including an extensive green roof.
