Bignell Watkins Hasser Architects provided full interior design services for a 73,000 sf., 86-unit Senior Living community in Beverly, MA. Known as The Current Beverly, this one-of-a-kind Assisted Living and Memory Care community, combines a boutique wellness setting and modern amenities in a renovated, historic building. Supporting the client’s goals of encouraging healthy living for seniors, the interior design draws inspiration from the surrounding New England coastline and the natural beauty of the outdoors. The color palette of deep blue, crisp white and sandy beige tones combined with natural materials such as wood and rattan create an authentic coastal interior while expansive windows, fabricated to match the original windows found in the 100-year-old building, provide an abundance of natural light in both the residential units and common spaces. The community features inviting and dynamic amenities and gathering spaces, including a spa, theater, library, multiple dining areas and a penthouse level pub with a roof deck overlooking the scenic North Shore harbor.
