St. Paul’s Catholic Church Expansion

Description

Bignell Watkins Hasser designed a variety of parish support facilities for St. Paul Catholic Church in Damascus Maryland. The vision was to create a “village” feeling for the site that was centered around the large existing sanctuary. The village is comprised of a parish hall for large community gatherings, a complex of religious education classrooms, an administrative wing, a daycare center as well as an intimate chapel.

The site includes extensive sweeping views which were major design influences for the site placement of the individual functions within the complex.
