Bignell Watkins Hasser provided full Architectural and Interior Design services for this proposed 194,000 sf., 188-unit senior living community in White Marsh, MD. Bigwaha contributed expertise in construction systems and building codes throughout the project, which required multiple occupancy classifications and construction types. A particular focus of the design was to efficiently balance residential, back-of-house, and amenity spaces while creating a welcoming and attractive community for Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care residents. Through the integration of multiple exterior gardens, patios and terraces, the design blends indoor and outdoor spaces to engage residents and promote well-being. The interior finish palette includes natural wood elements, a variety of textures and patterns, and an abundance of natural light to create an interior atmosphere designed to feel like home.
