Celebrating a project that honors more than 70 years of service, Bigwaha was proud to join the groundbreaking of Cape St. Claire Volunteer Fire Station No. 19. Designed to support both the Anne Arundel County Fire Department and the volunteer company, the new 20,500-square-foot, LEED Silver-targeted facility features four drive-through apparatus bays, community and support spaces, dormitory accommodations, and training areas. Incorporating modern fire service best practices, the design prioritizes the health and safety of firefighters and staff by reducing exposure to carcinogenic contaminants and limiting the spread of infectious materials.
As this new chapter begins, we also recognize the legacy of the original 1955 station, which has long stood as a symbol of service, commitment, and community pride. We are honored to help shape a facility that will support and protect first responders for decades to come.Watch coverage of the groundbreaking featured by local news: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5S9A73wC5s
