Description
This project consisted of the demolition and replacement of all the structures at Prince George’s County’s DPW&T Brandywine Maintenance Facility. The new facility consists of a main facility building, salt storage barn, material storage shed, open material storage bins, and truck washing facility.
The main facility building consists of a two-story administrative area, a three-bay truck garage, and a drive-through truck wash bay. The two-story area contains administrative offices, living space for snowplow drives with a kitchenette and showers. This building is 14,400 sf.
The truck garage area contains lifts, overhead water/compressed air/ fluid delivery systems and welding station. A small mezzanine contains a part storage and control system.
Parking area has been equipped with EV charging stations.
The salt barn was designed to allow for better efficiency and ease of truck flow during the salt distribution process.
