Description
This project consists of an 11,160 sf. replacement fire station based on the Henrico County Prototypical Design.
This station contains three apparatus bays, crew quarters, office areas, watch desk and study areas. The building was designed to be aesthetically compatible with the neighboring community, which is mostly residential, and to receive a LEED® certification.
The site and building were designed to allow the current fi re station (located on the same site) to remain in operation until the new station was up and operational. The communication, IT and alerting systems were designed and coordinated to allow for a seamless transition of operation from one station to another.
