Lake Shore Fire Station is a 14,000 SF facility currently under construction. Once completed, the station will contain three drive-thru bays, multiple bunk rooms, living quarters and offices for County and Volunteer Officers. The building will use well water and septic systems.
This project is the replacement of the existing Lake Shore Volunteer Fire Station with a new county-funded prototype facility (based on 11 fire stations). The county prototype design will be amended to meet the needs of the volunteers and to allow the station to achieve a LEED Silver certification. This will be Anne Arundel County’s first LEED Fire Station.
